My younger brother was a Remote Control (RC) Car afficionado when he was a teenager. He would ask my parents to buy accessories for his RC because he participated in RC races.
However, he didn’t win anything because he lacked knowledge. I hope sites like RC Cars Tips and Tricks existed before. My brother could have used some knowledge from proven RC Cars race champion Igor Presnukhin.
What I like about the site is it is packed with useful tips. The posts are written with no non-sense approach. I personally like the picture attachments in the posts as they make the tips easier to learn. Below are the snapshots of some photos:

If you are an RC Cars addict like my brother, visit the site at http://presnukhin.com/ and I assure you, you will find it useful. To be successful in RC Car racing or in life, you have to listen to someone of authority like Igor Presnukhin.

My first time trying setting up domain names and sites was tough: I was clueless. I had a lot of questions mainly on hosting:
* Which one was the cheapest but offers enough space?
* Does it have database capabilities?
* How does it handle the bandwidth?
Googling companies complicated the matter because the comparative chart of each company I researched had shown bias towards that particular company. It didn’t help. Each one offered various enticing packages and I couldn’t make up my mind. Which one should I pick?
That was several years ago, before blogging became popular.
Now, there are different websites that allow you to compare webhosts fairly. And Webhostingchoice.com is one of them. What I like about it is that you can perform basic search based on pricing, diskspace, setup fee, and bandwidth. You can also perform advanced queries if you want detailed comparisons.
What I noticed about Webhostingchoice.com is that it has one recommended webhost, regardless of search criteria, which somehow ruins its credibility if the one using its service is discerning. Therefore, I still recommend asking a technical friend for advice to supplement the results of the service.
I learned about all these the hard way (self-taught); and while it is the most trusted direction to go, using a tool like webhostingchoice.com can save a little bit of time.
How about you, what’s your experience with webhost companies?

Checking the mailbox – the actual mailboxes where the postman puts the mails in – is one of the things I enjoy doing. It’s like opening a surprise: Do I have something in the box?
When I receive something and it’s not a bill, solicitation, or junkmail, I feel happy. Receiving a handwritten letter or a gift makes me feel connected to the sender, despite our distance. Sure there are emails, but letters are tangible proofs that someone remembers you and made an effort to express it to you. That’s what makes it special.
Right now, my father and I live in an apartment sharing one mailbox with other tenants. Sometimes when there are too many mails, the envelopes and other parcels stick out of the incompletely closed box or they all get crumpled inside. If the weather is bad, the contents get wet and I get disappointed. I feel a part of the surprise is taken away from me. The image above shows how our old rusty shared mailbox looks like. The paint is peeling off, and it is totally unlocked.
Most of you don’t know it, but one of my goals is to start a happy family in a nice house. I would also make sure to invest on installing a handsome secured residential mailboxes. Snapshots below are my ideal ones. They look classy, too.

A charming mailbox should go along with charming house because that’s what surprises deserve.
How about you, do you like checking the mailbox? Does your mailbox look better than what we have here?
