Seven months to go, and I and my wife will “re-tie” the knot. We had been married since the August of 2009 civilly, but the religious ceremony will be in August this year.
The wife has been doing the planning all year long. We had set a budget for the wedding as we do not overspend for the big event. The goal is to have some savings after the wedding. We do not want to start with a negative or zero balance.
It is not easy as it seems.
Looking for a quality suppliers (photographers, catering, etc) that offer reasonable prices for services and products is like watching the game of tennis following the ball bounce from one end to the other. Once you thought you have the right supplier, another one will come up with a different enticing offer. This photographer will offer cheap wedding invitations, while the other one will offer it for free. There’s always a catch for something.
Thankfully, my wife is one smart lady who knows how to negotiate. I don’t know if I could do it myself. When I was still a bachelor, I wanted the best wedding among my friends. I
realized, I do not have to work it out myself. I need a perfect partner to make it happen.
Watching all these preparations materialize, I know I made the right choice.
