Wedding Reception is so important that I leave most of the preparation ideas to my wife. I don’t want to ruin something truly special.
That is why I wasn’t really exactly sure how my wife would react if I tell her I would like us to have a little fun during the stressful preparations of the event.
Most receptions I know of have Audio-Visual Presentation (AVP) where the videographer shows an MTV-like presentation of the couple’s love-story (like how they met). For the guests, it’s a quick summary of the husband and wife’s journey to forever. Cute.
But it feels obsolete and over-done to me.
That’s why when I saw this short video of the Parker couple (actress Eva Longoria and NBA basketball player Tony Parker) doing a spoof of “Summer Nights” (from the movie Grease), I thought it would be fun to do something like that.
Watch the clip below:
When I showed to my wife and asked her if we could do the same, she said yes without any hesitation. I was excited. I told her I would be in-charge of it.
Problem is: how can I pull this one off? Are we going to need a good NY video production company to shoot and direct us? I don’t think so.
The final product doesn’t have to be as polished as the Parker’s above. I have seen amateur spoofs produced by students. Not as good, but it looks as fun. The point is we show to our guests – which are mainly family members, close friends, and relatives – what type of couple we are.

Easy, just use the alphabet –> A is for amy i love you, B is for back when we first met i weighed 20 punds less, C is for we have too many cats. Thats one idea the other is to do a montage or something similar.
Nice video and post is great as usual
