My slider (the thing that moves the page from older to newer and vice versa) was not showing up when I first installed K2 theme, and it took me a long (I mean long) while before I was able to finally solve it.
I tried going to different sites for solutions, but nothing came close. I even downloaded and activated Michael’s Rolling Archive but it gave me a fatal error and I had to delete the entire rollingarchive folder from the site to fix it. I wanted to give up, but deep inside, I had this feeling that the solution for the invisible slider is simple, I just couldn’t knock it down.
And then it hit me. Upon comparing the codes from other sites, the cause of problem appeared right before my eyes: my K2 folder contained space in between. The solution? Delete the space and off you go!

K2 v096 ———- —————delete space ——————— K2v096
Here’s the step by step process, in case the above exhibit isn’t clear:
- On your site, make sure that the K2 Rolling archives folder is deleted
- Find your K2 folder and make sure you delete all the spaces of the folder
- Upload the K2 Rolling archive folder at the PLUGIN Directory, BUT DO NOT activate it!
That’s it! For those who are still searching, hope you stumble upon this post and I hope this helps.
